ENTREPRENEUR POD

This project requires us to design an entrepreneur pod for any preferred business based on the requirements such as:

• single space

• maximum of 2 users at one time.

• maximum size = 12 meter square

• maximum ground - roof peak height = 4 meter

• have activity that involved seating, table, counter, and display area

The business which I choose for the pod is antique clocks and pocket clocks business with a business name of 'AULD LANG SYNE'. 'AULD LANG SYNE' brings a meaning of nostalgia in the past and it is used to suit my design concept of 'Back to the good old times'. This design concept is used to bring out the design purpose of letting people to remember the past when clocks were invented and appreciate the contribution of the clock inventors. Besides, I would like to bring out an underlying design purpose which is 'remember the past and appreciate what we have at the present'.

In this project, we learn about the importance of ergonomics and space design in order to allocate suitable space and arrangement for the workspace and customers' walkway. Based on the concept 'Back to the good old times', a unique-shaped pod is developed. A combination of wood and glass is used as the construction materials in order to bring out design concept of 'Back to the good old times' which brings out an idea of past VS present.
